Director Blessey, who worked for this movie for  last 16 years was a real inspiration to watch this movie. Moreover almost all his 7 movies in past were at the peak of classic movies. But Director had his movie hitting the theatre after a gap of 10+ years, during which Malayalam cinema has changed a lot, especially in the recent times. This was one of the biggest worry I had before starting to watch the movie. But I had a relief that director got associated with most wanted person of Malayalam film industry - Prithviraj, who is well updated and trying his level best to make Malayalam movie to PAN India levels. Music and scores by AR Rahman was so down to earth and heart touching which is well blended to each and every scene of the movie. Periyone is still humming in ears of audience after leaving theatre. Sunil K S, who was already noted by everyone for his camera works in kammara sambhavam, have made the visuals of this desert based movie in a top class manner, especially closeup Scenes of camel eyes with reflection of Najeeb and stormy scenes were too classy. Movie  was very well supported by editing work of very famous national award winner Sreekar Prasad, who is a veteran genius in this field. Another important challenge was how much justification movie scripted by Blessey can provide to original novel written by Benyamin. Treatment taken by novelist was to create an emotional lock in the mind of readers between Najeeb and the animals he find in desert along with portraying his sufferings and loneliness. Treatment taken by script writer felt like to give a visual experience of how audience could feel when got into such situations. Najeeb in the movie felt like he thought more about himself alone always whereas Najeeb in novel was more adapting to circumstances he got into, by loving those animals untill he get a chance to escape from there. Seperation between Najeeb and animals during escape scenes felt like not heart touching in the movie, which didn't create much emotional impact for viewers like me. I can say Blessey as director impressed me, but Blessey as script writer failed to do so. Sound Engineering work by Rasool pookkutty is a must watch experience in good theatre. Custume designer Stephy Zaviour and makeup artist Renjith Ambady, who had experience from take off movie did cent percent justice to their jobs in this movie.

On acting side, body transformation done by Prithviraj is awesome. Need to support such a dedicated performance by watching movie in theatre. Transformation of the physical appearance from Day 1 Najeeb reaches Gulf till he escape from desert and reaches the Malabar hotel scene was mind-blowing. But suddenly when Najeeb reaches Malabar hotel scene and in the Jail scene, his body became too bulky, which found little bit indigestive - may be covid period effected the movie shooting schedule. Acting performance was good, but cannot say as an award winning performance, as most of the emotional scenes felt like disconnected with audience. When actor goes emotional, audience also should go emotional, if movie is well connected like how Mammootty did in another pravasi movie - Pathemari. Jimmy Jean Louis as Ibrahim khadiri was awesome throughout the movie. Gokul as Hakim was also okay, but excelled in his last few scenes.  Amala Paul had good screen presence in movie, but not much to deliver in this movie.
Overall a one time must watch in theatre.
